Buenos Aires, February 26 (NA) -- Daniela Barreiro testified as the ex-wife of Cristian Graf in the case investigating the murder of Diego Fernández Lima, the teenager who disappeared in 1984 and whose bones were found 40 years later in the yard of a former schoolmate's house. Sources close to the case confirmed to the Argentine News Agency that the mother of Graf's three older children gave her testimony before Prosecutor Martín López Parrando, although it is not yet publicly available. At the end of November 2025, the Federal Chamber's IV Division ruled that the case should be reinvestigated from scratch, which confirmed the nullity of the dismissal of Cristian Graf, the victim's high school classmate. However, in recent months, the investigation has been expanded to include the parents of Cristian Graf, Federico Alberto Graf and Susana Elena Grassle, to determine if the disappearance was related to the state. For this purpose, reports were requested from the Revenue and Customs Control Agency (ARCA). "The result was concise: there was no link, only a commercial partnership between the two adults, which was dissolved upon Federico's death," they detailed to NA from Cristian Graf's circle and explained that "for the moment, the investigation continues to focus on the Graf family." The 16-year-old was last seen alive on July 26, 1984, in Buenos Aires, when he returned from school, had lunch with his mother, and asked for money to take a bus. After 41 years, his bones and other belongings were found in the yard of a chalet that the singer Gustavo Cerati (deceased on September 4, 2014) rented between 2001 and 2003.
